Big Sean shows his genuine love for the people of Columbus
This isn’t the first time that Big Sean has graced Columbus with his presence, and again, he surely did not disappoint. This is his ninth stop in his spring 2015 tour and he came back with a whole new set up that was both visually and mentally stimulating.
Big Sean opened up his show with songs off his recent album “Dark Sky Paradise” which the crowd was ecstatic to hear. They screamed the lyrics of “All Your Fault” and “Play No Games” back at Big Sean while he hopped around on stage. The stage was set up with two big LED video screens in the shape of a triangle, which displayed different backdrops for each song as the smoke machines created an eerie display.

Lupita Nyong’o on the Cover of Glamour
The talented actress Lupita Nyong’o will appear on the cover of Glamour’s 24th Women of the Year cover. The stunning actress has always been a strong advocate for self-esteem and beauty issues. She candidly discusses her view on beauty inside the magazine’s December issue.
“European standards of beauty are something that plague the entire world — the idea that darker skin is not beautiful, that light skin is the key to success and love,” Nyong’o told Glamour. “Africa is no exception.”

I arrived at Ohio Theatre Monday, and there were tons of students eager to get into the hall to grab their seats. As the doors opened, students rushed in and ran to the front of the theatre. I’ve heard before that people in the lower deck usually have the best experience at Blue Man Group’s shows. The people in the first couple of rows where given ponchos to protect their clothing and we were left with funny slogans that ran across the screen until the show started. “They’re freaking awesome!” said Adam Todoran, a fourth-year in psychology, “I’m pretty biased because I’ve seen them before, but it’s a completely different show every time you see them. It’s a different type of live performance from any other show that a musician or entertainer would put on.”The show began with acknowledging some random members in the audience by asking them to stand and having the crowd greeting them hello. The audience also sang “Happy Birthday” to one of the audience members who was celebrating her birthday.

The Republicans Have Gained Control over The House and Senate
Yesterday was a horrible day for the Democrats. The Republicans ripped away the Senate, giving the GOP full control of Congress. Republicans now have the control to pin down President Obama in his last two years of office. Democrats must now take the back seat to the Republicans because they have almost full control.
“For too long, this administration has tried to tell the American people what is good for them and then blame somebody else when their policies didn’t work out,” Mitch McConnell, who is expected to become the next Senate majority leader, said in his victory speech.

“Dear White People” Will Debut in Theaters This Month
“Dear White People” is a film created by Justin Simien that discusses racial identity in a “post-racial America” while each character creates a unique path in this world. This witty film is set among a fictional racially charged Ivy League university. The main focus is on a group of black students at this university and how they navigate through this college campus. Calum Marsh of the Village Voice called this film, “a satire about racism among those least inclined to regard themselves as racist.” This film has already won awards at the Sundance and San Francisco film festivals and was selected for the prestigious New Directors/New Films program in New York City.
