Elizabeth T. Tawose

ABOUT

Originally from the south suburbs of Chicago, Elizabeth T. Tawose is a multifaceted creative, serving as a director, writer, model, and educator. She also leads Yorùbá Land Connection, a community organization that celebrates and connects Yorùbá people and culture. As a first-generation Nigerian-American, Elizabeth's love for television, fantasy, and writing began at an early age when she wrote and illustrated her own short stories.
Elizabeth has contributed to notable productions such as Black-ish, Grown-ish, Netflix's Shameless, and HBO’s Juice WRLD: Into The Abyss documentary. Her short film "Sunflower" has garnered critical acclaim, spotlighting her directorial talent and the film's impactful message. In addition to her short film, she has directed web series episodes and numerous short-form projects, aiming to inspire self-confidence and encourage individuals to challenge their worldviews—all while shining a light on her Yorùbá heritage.
A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Elizabeth also teaches social-emotional learning (SEL) classes, guiding individuals in developing empathy, self-confidence, and emotional intelligence. In her leisure time, she enjoys playing the flute, reading fantasy novels, watching television, and playing tennis.
